Proposed Legislation to Ban Fish as Prizes in NYC (Intro 963)

Betta World For Bettas has been working with New York City Council Members Vickie Paladino and Frank Morano to support Intro 963, legislation that would ban the use of live fish as prizes.

Introduced to the New York City Council on June 30, 2026, the proposed legislation would amend the administrative code, which currently prohibits animals from being awarded as prizes but excludes fish.
